Ephemeral Design: Moments in the Garden
Finding the right accent in the landscape can enhance your garden and bring its aesthetic to new heights. Whether you are sequencing the right addition to an existing garden or starting from scratch, we often forget about the possibilities that using bulbs, annuals, and even artwork can have when done throughout the season. Utilizing the impermanence of ephemeral plants in a woodland understory, or pops of color from late blooming Salvias, or integrating the bold four-foot inflorescence of Foxtail lilies in the early summer garden there is a wide array of plants and techniques that can create the perfect moment.
Join Matthew Ross, Executive Director of The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park, as he leads an interactive design session where you will work together to maximize the impact of this design technique.
