Dr. Hannah Mathers

Dr. Hannah Mathers has over 30 years of experience and training in weed control in landscape and nursery crops and is accomplished in herbicide chemistry, plant physiology and various horticultural crops. For the past 10 years, Hannah has been employed as an Independent Researcher/ Expert and Owner of Mathers Environmental Science Services, LLC. Before that she was a Professor at Ohio State University and the Ohio Nursery and Landscape State Extension Specialist.

Time for Alternatives to Glyphosate

Workers, new growers and some landscape customers have increased concerns about glyphosate. We will look at the alternatives to glyphosate that we have been researching through MNLA and combining post- alternatives with preemergence herbicides. Additionally, although the use of glyphosate may seem like a cost-effective measure, combining pre- and post- controls is usually a far less expensive approach.
