Nurseries in the North Central region face a wide range of insect, disease, and abiotic problems and cultural management issues affecting the quality of nursery stock. Incorporating best management practices to reduce pest damage clearly provides economic benefits and the increased competiveness of the industry. The North Central Nursery IPM Working Group was formed to evaluate, develop, and facilitate the implementation of sound IPM practices. This presentation will introduce nursery producers to Working Group functions and solicit input on resources needed to enhance nursery production practices within our region.
